We deliver technology that respects data rights for workers, farmers and people via free, secure digital identities – b# IDs.
With b# IDs people can verify themselves their data
We will advocate for the data rights of every b# ID holder, governing that b# ID holders respect each other as data creators, permissioned users and compensation.
What is a b#?
A Bluenumber ID (b# ID) is a free digital ID generated by you. We, the Bluenumber Foundation, give you the platform to create your b# ID and we will authenticate your claim to be the owner of that ID.
Your b# ID is a self-sovereign digital identity. Having it means you are:
- Recognized as the owner of all data created using a B# Partner app.
- Anonymous but verified when you provide data through apps – like direct worker voice or consumer satisfaction surveys.
- Ready to receive transaction records for data you license – how much, from/to whom and for what specific use.
- Able to see, control or block permission to use your data, who has paid you and for what.
Why does our work matter?
Because we all create data. But we don’t have data rights.
Billions of us generate data daily. We have no idea how it’s used or by whom. We want to change this by giving people rights over their data and nurture a network of rights-based technology partners.
