The Bluenumber Foundation (BNF) advances global human rights through ethical data systems and people-first digital infrastructure.

Bluenumber (B#) is a technology company building ethical, data-driven platforms for traceability, transparency, and accountability. We enable businesses to

verify supply chain claims and comply with human rights, ESG, and sustainability regulations—while respecting the data rights of workers and producers.

B# operates across global supply chains, with deployments in agriculture, electronics, and manufacturing. We are active in countries like Malaysia, India,

China, Australia, and the UK, supporting clients and data creators with tools that turn fragmented insight into verified action.

We partner with brands, buyers, certification schemes, industry platforms, and responsible sourcing teams. Our users include sustainability leaders, procurement managers,

legal advisors, and audit teams seeking credible, real-time insight from the people who matter most: those at the bottom of the supply chain.

B# was born out of a challenge: how can companies prove their commitments to human rights and sustainability, not just state them? The answer started with people—especially those whose labor, land, or data fuels global systems.

We built platforms that respect their voice, license their data, and give companies the verified insights they need. Today, B# is a leader in worker- and farmer-centered traceability tech.

Bluenumber Foundation, a New York 501c3, has been on a mission to change how people use digital identity and benefit from data they create since 2015.

We enable anyone to have a ‘bluenumber’ (B#), a free unique self-sovereign identity(SSI), and a Personal Data Vault (PDV) to own and keep data they create. They also get an SSI wallet to register digital assets and receive credentials to proof data for claims and transactions.

We ensure B# holders behave ethically and respect each others’ data property rights. Data creators choose what data to share, when and with whom. There are full rights of reciprocity between B#s – you must know who knows what about you, and you should know the same about them.

1.

We want to develop a ‘data cooperative’ that pays people for data.

2.

People must share in any wealth their data creates in a digital economy.

3.

Everyone has a right to inform global policy and standards by governments and companies.

4.

Workers, consumers, farmers need inviolable identity and data property rights to secure their assets in a digital world.

In 1984

the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) enshrined rights and freedoms in 30 Articles, predicated on protection by States.

Today people are described and defined by data. But they do not have rights to their data or data about them.

We want to add a 31st Article to the UDHR – it’s time for an update.
